Paris:

This adorable studio is located in the Montparnasse area of Paris in the 14th arrondissement.  It is in a true neighbourhood where Parisians live their day to day lives.  It is 50 metres from the Edgar Quinet market and metro station.  This metro line takes one to the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe in one direction and Denfert-Rochereau (RER to the airport), Place d'Italie in the other.  Also located within a 3 minute walk is the Gare de Montparnasse where trains depart for Versailles and Chartres as well as the Loire Valley, La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Spain and Portugal.  The Tour de Montparnasse is a major landmark as well as being the site of a huge shopping centre including the Galeries Lafayette.  The many metro lines that converge at Montparnasse will take you anywhere in Paris in a matter of minutes. The Montparnasse station is also a major hub for buses which is another way to get around Paris. You may also go to Paris maps to see the location of the studio.
      
When you stroll aroung the area, you will find the Edgar Quinet market which operates on Wednesdays and Saturdays for food and other items while on Sundays it is the home of a major Art market.  The Montparnasse Cemetery is just around the corner.  People like Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Samuel Beckett and Jean Seberg are just a few who can be visited in their final resting place.  On the other side of the cemetery is the Daguerre area.  This pedestrian street is the home of a fabulous street market that is open almost all the time except Mondays.  Heading toward the City Hall of the 14th arrondissement, there is a market that operates on Tuesdays and Fridays.  From here, it is only a short 10 minute walk back to the studio.

Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower are a short metro/bus ride away or each can be reached in an easy 40 minute walk with many sites and markets along the way.

The studio features a very quiet location looking into a treed courtyard of a three building complex.  It is on the ground floor so suitcases are easy to manage.  It is 26.5 sq. metres which is about 300 sq. ft.  The size is about double that of a regular Paris hotel room. The studio is equipped with a queen sized bed, two comfy chairs for relaxing, an independent kitchen with a fridge, small oven, sink and cupboards. There is an independent wc, a shower and sink as well as a large walk in closet for clothing and suitcases. Please note that there is to be no smoking in the studio.

Rental is by the week.  Long term rentals are possible with different terms.  The studio rents for 455 euros per week plus an additional 30 euros for the laundry service at the end of your stay.  You are expected to remake the bed, set out clean towels and then leave your laundry in the "laundry container".  Also, at the end of your stay, you are expected to leave the studio clean and ready for the next couple.  If we help each other out in this way, we will be able to keep our rates low.
